As the Principal of SES Workforce Research & Consulting, Sherry specializes in strategy, organizational development, and learning and skills development. Her work has focused on the ocean industry and the sustainable blue economy. Sherry helped to launch COVE (Centre for Ocean Ventures and Entrepreneurship), The PIER (Port Innovation Engagement and Research), and is presently working in an Executive capacity to help launch Nunavut Marine Innovation and Research. Sherry has contributed significant research to the field of knowledge relating to human capital across ocean industries and adjacent sectors, and several province-wide Student Intentions and Perceptions studies that examined the attitudes and career intentions of Canadian youth in relation to the blue economy.
Sherry holds an interdisciplinary PhD in social psychology and management from Dalhousie University, as well as an MBA and two degrees in Education. She strives to combine scholarly insight and research with practical recommendations and strategy development that are both evidence-based and experience-based.
