Mera cannot remember a time when she didn’t know about the Sable Island Horses. She believes that she was born knowing about them. In 2023, she finally realized her dream of visiting Sable Island and the Horses, and meeting Zoe Lucas. She is planning her next visit for the wintertime!
Mera is a member of A Horse Tale Rescue, Lucy’s Edmonton Advocates’ Project, and RedRover. She is a virtual media monitor volunteer for Lilongwe Wildlife Trust in Malawi. In 2019, she volunteered at ARCAS Wildlife Rescue Center in Guatemala.
Mera runs a pet sitting business in Montreal, Quebec. She and her sixteen-year-old pug run the Montreal Pug Meetup.
She loves watching puppet shows and roller skating.
